This is a glossary of terms commonly heard when talking about para dancing and eurobeat.

  • A-Melo (Aメロ)
    The first lyrical part of a Eurobeat song, the second part of the typical Intro → A-Melo → B-Melo → Sabi → Intro progression.
  • B-Melo (Bメロ)
    The second lyrical part of a Eurobeat song, the third part of the typical Intro → A-Melo → B-Melo → Sabi → Intro progression.
  • circle
    A group of people who do para together.
  • furi (振り)
    A choreography. Short for "furitsuke" (振付 or 振り付け).
  • intro (イントロ)
    The part of a Eurobeat song in which the synths are playing, the first and last part of the typical Intro → A-Melo → B-Melo → Sabi → Intro progression.
  • koushuukai (講習会)
    A para lesson taught at a club event.
  • manepara (真似パラ)
    "Faking it" when you don't actually know the routine to a song.
  • maniac
    An original (unofficial) para routine, usually created by a circle.
  • oripara (オリパラ)
    An original (unofficial) para routine, usually created by an individual.
  • sabi (サビ)
